Crotoonia’s capital, Celgreb City began as a medium sized market community, used to connect the various parts of the country together, like the western side of the Cliffstone Mountains (where the logging and mining industries were beginning to take off), Grofflen (where a planned shipping yard was beginning to take shape), and Bartlett Bay (which became greatly popular among fishermen). Overtime, as more and more people came flooding into the country, the small market community grew into a bustling city, where engines come in and out from the nearby towns, and continue on to either America or beyond! It’s the place many a newcomer’s adventures begin, from the calm of the engine sheds to the energy of the railway yards!

CELGREB CITY FREIGHT YARD

The first stop for any visiting engine, this freight yard is one of the busiest in the country! Managed by forklift Cormac and shunting engine Rosie (with Old Puffer Pete assisting on deliveries now and again), this is where key freight trains bound for beyond get assembled or arrive to be disassembled for delivery across Crotoonia! With cranes, trucks, and lifters at the ready, everything gets done in neat order here!

Next door is also the Celgreb City Coach Works, where carriages and rolling stock get rebuilt, fixed up, or refurbished for more journeys yet to come!

CELGREB CENTRAL

The beating heart of the Crotoonian Rail Network. The largest station in the whole country, Celgreb City Central is smack-dab on the edge of town before cozy rolling fields take over. Now even bigger than ever, the station is kept busy with passengers being picked up throughout the day and night, as well as railroad traffic charging in and out of the yard.

Many of the railway lines start here, from the bustling Celgreb City Transit Railway that serves downtown, Thomas’ route from the city to the hills and quarries, the Crotoonian Seaside Railway that starts through downtown to the Docks, and the famous Crotoonian National that runs all the way to Gridinia Bay at the other end of the country.

The bus companies also have a depot here, and the branch line engines (or mainline in case of emergency) can enjoy a refreshing top-up of coal, water, or diesel before heading to work as passengers load up.

CELGREB CITY SHEDS

A trio of roundhouses nestled in the city, Celgreb City Sheds is where the engines of the mainline (or branch lines) rest their wheels at the end of a long day. For visitors staying overnight, it’s a railroad motel that, even with the hustle and bustle of the city, still manages to be snug and cozy.

The Branchline and Freight Yard bunk in the center table, while the big mainliners reside in the other two houses.

TRIPLE TRACK PARK

To get between the city and the docks, trains need to pass through Crotoonia’s bustling downtown! There’s a lot of different winding routes, and different trains who take them: Jacob running the electrified line that runs through some key neighborhoods, Emery traveling on the elevated railway lines through the city, Decka’s line that runs along the roads of some important streets, which merges with Daisy’s line that takes care of key intercity travel!

If you want to see all three major lines in action, visit scenic Triple Track Park in the outskirts of downtown to catch flowers, calm space, and a chance to see three or four of the hardest working transit machines in the country!
