After much high demand and requests from the general public, the Crotoonian Gazette has finally launched its online publication starting March 24th, 2023. The deal comes after a syndication contract with Duckeychev Press, LLC that fell through due to contract issues and one with the recently self-started Pocket in Pita, LLC. "I mean, this should've happened a while ago.", says chief website editor and top reporter Megara of Olympus. "Every other paper's entered the digital age, so why shouldn't we? That'd be like Orpheus going 'Yeah, we should really look back at the age of the Motorola Dynatac.'"
The new paper promises to offer exciting going ons from the country, from railway operations to local events in various towns. The new update promises to help Crotoonians and beyond to see the cozy country like never before and hopes to expand in various ways in the future.
"For now, we're starting off simple." says Megara. "I've just figured out what the heck a script function is."
The 49th Annual Celgreb City Spring Carnival has announced this year's plans to host at Celgreb City Central Square, built and named around the country's largest and busiest railway station. The popular festival will feature its usual popular attractions such as the Big Wheel, Harry Topper's Tea Cups, and Dockmaster Noisy's Whack-A-Clown game, along with many popular (and delicious) farmer's markets and concession stands.
Returning treats for this year include Read's Leaning Tower and Brownie Cakes, Waffles on a Stick, and Fried Fluffy Puff Marshmallows. Challenges at the annual Food Fair this year include Around the World in 40 Flans (sponsored by Zippy's Snappy Delivery Deli) and Lady Baden-Baden's ever popular Finest Fruit Preserves Contest; each contest is also offering free samples to all visitors.
The most exciting news for local residents is the newest attraction exclusive for this year; local transit chugger Emery will be giving tours across the city (with his usual humourous commentary), while trolley chugger Zephie will be hosting an exciting "Rockin' Railroad" ride, giving rides a whirl up and down the track. In addition, breakdown crane Rocky and rescue chugger Calley will be hosting an hourly rescue demonstration, showing how machines tackle the heavy duty rescues that happen bi-weekly on the railway.
"We're more than thrilled for the exciting weekend ahead.", commented Mayor Pauline of Celgreb City. "We have a wonderful lineup of rides and attractions for this year, in addition to our popular nighttime show 'Celgreb with Attitude', where the country's top Jazz artists will be performing under the lights and sounds of the city at our nearby Inkwell Lake Park Ampitheatre. We're promising a weekend of music, games, food, and fun for all who come and join us, and hope all have a wonderful time with us as the Season of Rebirth comes back to the city!".
The 49th Annual Celgreb City Spring Carnival runs March 24th thru the 26th. Full details can be found on the Celgreb City Parks and Recreation website.
When Action Chugger made his dramatic return to thrillers in 2019 with "GOLDENWINDOW", audiences were amazed by the return to form for the beloved real life superhero and action star. Never before have we seen the beloved star enter more daring rescues, dramatic espionage, and track-defying stunts. This had easily been his best entry in film since "Star Trains" and "Ordinary Chugger", and I can safely say with my review he put the Chug back into Chugger.
This adventure saw Action Chugger take on a daring mission to take down a global tar tanker smuggling ring, which turns out to be a cover-up for the "Free the Roads" act (lead by old enemy Gold Chugger), planning to blast the world's leading railway network to make room for more roads. Teaming up with international stars and cameos such as Flying Scotsman and Yong Bao (who pulled off an incredible leap over five scrap coaches), he finds himself more wrapped in the tangle of conspiracy, eventually uncovering dark secrets of his past...and future.
This reviewer found this a real return to form for Action Chugger after so many cheesy multiverse plots and attempts at bandwagoning the far-less well produced but briefly successful Super Train movies (recently signing off after a whopping two entries after its latest entry, "SUPER TRAIN SAVES THE CHICKENS 2", made the lowest wide release box office gross in the history of movies ever). I mean, come on, Action Chugger gets a rooster sidekick? Which executive has a farm?
The movie got an amazing 4K release for this special edition, now allowing you to hear AND see all the action in vivid detail, such as when Action Chugger got his sword and did battle with the sinister Gold Chugger atop a blazing oil rig. Distributor Ballvision Home Entertainment went all out to give this an upgrade and made it an absolute treat to watch on the home ampitheatre.
Despite the amazing rerelease of this classic, I was largely dissapointed by the lack of extras on this. All this special edition did was carry over the "Making Of" special narrated by Diddy Kong and a couple TV spots. Where's the legendary teaser where we were spoiled about his father still being alive? Where's the rare promo spot aired during the exciting season finale of the "Ultra Diggers and Massive Movers" reboot? While this edition is a great viewing experience for any longtime AC fan, the lack of extras on this is the only thing that makes this bound for Hades. And trust me...NO ONE wants to be there.
"GOLDENWINDOW SPECIAL EDITION" is available on DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K Ultra HD from the 27th.
