CROTOONIAN GAZETTE RETURNS ONLINE AFTER EXTENSIVE HIATUS

Raccoons Intern to Blame

JUNE 2023

Heya folks! We're back with another round of news for you to enjoy this month!

A lot happened over the summer while you were gone, but never fear! We've got more news coming your way over the next couple of months!

Normally we'd tell you how we had a busy summer, there's crazy things going on, and all that Klephtic jazz. But that Bert guy who we brought in as intern fried our IT department throughout the summer, so I'm trying to play catch up right now.

The scent of peanut butter has flooded the whole building.

TOP CRAFT: WEDGETON'S DYNAMIC DUO SAVE THE DAY

Helicopter and Cropduster-Turned-Racer Keep Wedgeton's Medical Supply Running

September 2023

It's a bird! It's a plane! Oh wait. It's a plane and a helicopter..

And they're the machines that kept Wedegton running during a big cargo crisis.

Last week, Wedgeton's usual cargo plane failed to arrive in time with critical medican supplies for the surrounding town. So, Harold the Helicopter (hailing from The Island of Sodor, his usual home) and Dusty Crophopper (former racing champ, now part-time firefighter and air show star) made the daring flight to Logan International Airport in East Boston to pick up the urgent deliveries.

"I've had years of experience in pickups and emergancy response, especially when it comes to shortages." begins Harold, currently on a rest period. "So when the call came in from the airport, us chaps realized we'd have to get it done ourselves. No use waiting if the supplies are all set to go."

"At this point, I've been fitted with everything from jet fuel to pontoons." remarks Dusty Crophopper, currently undergoing an engine service at Wedgeton Hanger. "So, we quickly got me fitted with a hook and made the flight down therein pretty solid time!"

And so, both got home loaded to the brim with the critical cargo. It wasn't easy as winds rolled high that day, but it didn't stop our heroes from crossing back home to Wedgeton, where trucks and engines were quick to finish the job, leaving the two to have a well-earned rest.

Brenda Blue, chief mechanic of Wedgeton Airfield, says "If there's a big lesson to learn from Dusty and Harold, it's to take action when no one else is there to come to the rescue. These two heroically flew out beyond the country to get this urgent delivery and saved countless lives by doing so."

Harold and Dusty are welcome to say hello to visitors of Wedgeton. Please contact the Wedgeton Airfield Office for further information..

ASK A CROTOONIAN

Starting next month, we're going to be asking a Crotoonian of your choice about their day-to-day lives on the railway and all the burning questions you've wanted to ask them! What coal do you take? What water works the best? What copies of bad movies are safe to chuck into your firebox?

If you wanna get your favorite Crotoonian on our next edition, get your butt over to

milantoonchannel@gmail.com

and send us an email asking us what questions your have for them! We're going to ask a few different friends, so make sure to keep 'em simple! And you kiddos make sure you ask your parents' permission before shooting us an email.
