A diesel locomotive that was among the first fitted with “roller bearings”, Big Tim is a big peppy fella fitted with a booster unit on his back.
He talks endlessly about his now-not-so special bearings, which can be annoying to the other engines. He tends to be a smidge jumpy at times, but he’s still a strong and able worker and a jolly and dependent friend! His larger size may be intimidating, but he’s a bit of a big goof at heart and is almost always counted on to get the job done.
His powerful engine, doubled by his booster unit, makes him very dependable for longer and heavier freight runs. This means he often gets sent out on big long deliveries to the United States or Pinewood Island, often taking him out on day trips and earning the admiration of the younger trains in the yard!

Big Tim LOVES playing on turntables...one time, he accidentally sent him and Pufle out of control when the latter saw him playing around on it!
