A dependable little blue tank engine, Thomas is cheeky and fussy, but overall a great friend to have.
While he sometimes gets ideas too big for his smokebox which get him into trouble, he means well and is usually fairly rational. He firmly believes “Little Engines Can Do Big Things”, which helps encourage himself and his friends to keep spirits up and keep moving.
He works between branch lines on Crotoonia and his home island Sodor, never on passenger duty without his two coaches Annie and Clarabel, who keep him in line whenever he gets too excitable...

Thomas earned his original branch line after learning to be Really Useful and rescuing James after he crashed on his first day!
