The oldest of the team, Toots was rebuilt from a nasty accident some years ago, where she was left for scrap following the win of a big race.
Then and now, she’s far from the strongest locomotive around the yards, but she still works hard and gets her work done, no matter how small. Being the eldest also allows her to not only bestow great knowledge, but to also whip a lazy engine into line! This doesn’t stop her from needing to take breaks, however.
After how she was cracked all over and heading for the scrap heap, she appreciates that she can take time with her job while still being really useful! And the station workers don't mind if she's not so speedy....well, most of them.

Toots' driver in her old days was a very stout fellow. She can't remember the name of him now, but he had a funny way of talking.
